Wow! The owner parked correctly! Give the owner a treat for me, please.

It always surprises me when the owners don't park correctly.
If it was my car I would not park like an asshat to avoid door dings. I'd be too concerned that people would get pissed and key the car.
I'd much rather repair a ding or live with one that can't be repaired than have to repaint the car!

What is DOTS?
Nice F430 there, especially in red. I don't think there's much that Ferrari did wrong with that car. Except maybe not offering the Scuderia from the start ;)

With you on that one. I saw a GT3 at a Target take up 4 spaces during holiday shopping and people were PISSED! Funny how the tires on it were also showing threads. Can afford a GT3, but not tires? Hmmm...

What a moron! That is a dick move.
And that is really weird to buy a GT3 and let your tires get that worn. Maybe the owner should sell the car if he's struggling to make his finance payments and can't even buy new tires.

It stands for Down On The Street here in oppo. Its when you find a super car or rare car or interesting car parked like a normal honda civic like its completely normal.

I'm not even new to oppo or anything - I'd just never seen/noticed the term before!
I was thinking something like Sight of the Day but that would be SOTD not DOTS XD

That is true. If I had time, I would have snapped a pic. I can give you details though. 997 in Torch Red on silver wheels with yellow calibers. Oh and the car was filthy!

What a shame!
That car should be taken care of!

Isn't the F430 getting better with age? Some people didn't like the looks. I think the looks are just getting better with time.
And the sound. Oh lord the sound.
And it's the last mid engine Ferrari with the option for a stick.
Imagine if the Scuderia had been offered in stick. It would be really rare and desirable now.

I didn't know the Scuderia was never offered with a manual! o_O
I think it'll be real hard for the F430 to age ungracefully. It perfected what the 360 had started and it is just overall something that I don't ever see as being considered ugly or stuck in the past. I think it pulls a lot of things together and executes them in moderation - for instance, it's aggressive but also classy, it's curvy but also has sharp(ish) features, and it also is a fantastic performance car that manages to maintain modesty.
Visually, the F430 has minimal flaws in my eyes. The 458 has a lot going for it, but I'll be damned if it looks halfway as good as its predecessor. It just doesn't look good at any angle like the F430.

You're one of the few people that think like me!! I agree with every single thing you said. A lot of people I have talked to either don't like how the F430 looks or they say "it looks good except..." and then point out something they don't like. I like every single angle. I also think it pulls off being curvy let angular. And I also agree that the 458 is a great car but not perfect in the looks department. The 458 is awesome because it looks super aggressive. But it doesn't have classic Ferrari class. The 360 was classy but a little too bulbous, it almost looked too retro. The F430 kept some classy curves while also being modern.
As far as I know there was never a Scuderia with a stick shift. I just did a Google search to confirm that and couldn't find any mention of one with a stick. I also didn't see anything that said there was never one with a stick. The Scuderia was all about lap times so Ferrari sped up the F1 transmission's shifts. If a car exists with the 6MT it would be super valuable due to its rarity.

mmmm yes...
I actually have a book on the F430 that is basically the sweetest thing ever. I'm pretty sure it's actually a legit Ferrari sales "brochure" in the form of 70 page full color hardcover book, but it's got all these stock F430 photos and more, plus a ton of information (specs, background, history, etc.) on all the aspects of the car.
I got it as a gift and I think it came from a Ferrari dealership. I'm guessing you could buy it for $$$ but I feel like it could be something that showed up in Ralph Lauren's mailbox one day too XD

Also, my three favorite visual aspects of the F430 (and easily the most perfect parts of it):
- The side-view mirrors
- The taillights
- The diffuser

It's hard for me to pick my fav visual aspects because I love everything about the car!
I do love the side-view mirrors and how they direct airflow to the engine's side air intakes.
I love the taillights and how their design was influenced by the Enzo. And the diffuser does look great.
And I love, love, love the front end of the car. The air intakes are a lot classier than the 458's design. And the headlights are just perfect. They, along with the Alfa 8C's, are my favorite headlights of all time.
